This post, particularly the story of one of the local New Money trophy wives and even more particularly the third paragraph from the end, had me howling.

Another choice quote: "Those that live in homes that sit on concrete blocks often name their homes as well. Sometimes, the homes are guarded by stone lions or concrete gargoyles. The grander the name of the home, the more likely it is to be mobile."

I had to giggle at the comments from women who had used the men's room at one time or another.

At one point, I was at the Kennedy Center with my then girlfriend. We had dressed up, and I was wearing a floor-length evening gown.

Intermission came, and there was an instant and huge line for the ladies' rooms. I had to go really badly, and knew that if I actually waited for the ladies' room, I wouldn't get back to my seat before the intermission ended.

So I took the direct approach. Gown and all, I swept into the men's room. I figured that no one would stop me, because they wouldn't be sure whether I was a cross-dresser -- and I doubted anyone would follow me into the stall to check. There were a bunch of men at the urinals, but I didn't bother announcing my presence to them. (They were facing the other way, so I couldn't see anything interesting anyway.) I charged into a stall, closed the door, and did what I needed to do.

As I was walking out, a woman was talking to a security guard in front of the men's room, begging to be allowed to use the men's room due to the long line at the ladies'. The security guard was adamant that this was not allowed. When the woman saw me coming out of the men's room, she said, "I guess it's allowed if you don't ask?"
