Why some people should be taken out behind the barn and shot:

Somebody decided while I was in the Borders in Warrenton that they should dump what smells like barbeque sauce all over the driver's side of my car. Since there was absolutely nobody parked in the lot anywhere near me and the placement for maximum PITA when trying to clean it off, I'm tending to lean towards "it was intentional".

Because they're jackasses. ;-P The only thing I can see that might've pissed anyone off is my Kerry/Edwards bumperstickers; I don't give the type of redneck who thinks vandalizing someone else's car enough credit for being smart enough to figure out what the bi pride sticker means.

Well, yes. I had figured that out. But there is completely random jackassery and there is not-so-random jackassery, and given that it was Warrenton and you have a Kerry sticker, it might be the latter.

I'd like to think it was random, but I'm not sure how one would accidentally get that much of it all over a car that you're not even parked next to.

Some teenage vandals come and spraypaint various things. Some centurians arrive with the parents, who beg for forgiveness. Steve Martin acts all nice and friendly, and does the "boys will be boys" routine. As the parents are escorted off, Martin leans to the centurian and says "Cut off all their balls."

Only my Kerry/Edwards stickers, which in Warrenton may count as provocative. I don't think most people can figure out what the bi pride sticker actually means, and if it was related to the stickers I'm reasonably sure it was someone who just doesn't like the way I voted.

I stopped at a gas station to wash off the driver's side window because trying to wipe it off with paper towels just smeared it and made things worse. The rest of it is still there though, and there's a lot of it in that space between the front and rear doors that's going to be a real pain to clean out.

At least they didn't key it like someone in the parking lot of one of my old apartment buildings did.
