Less cranky today, which is surprising because:

2:30 AM - Manage to get to sleep for the night, finally.

7:00 AM - Roofers show up to finish the job they began yesterday, starting of course with the section in the back directly over our bedroom.

7:30 AM - A gas-powered leaf blower is started up to clean the huge amount of trash left yesterday off the deck (which is of course below the master bedroom) and push it all out the back gate, while hammering continues apace on the roof of the front porch.

7:35 AM - Cat stomps on my head in a panic because I need to know that there's a stranger standing outside the second-floor front bedroom window. And since I'm up, can he have some of that kitty crackfish food please?


I sense that there's a fair amount of coffee in my future today before I even think about attempting our QuickBooks upgrade or touching any particularly involved code. Oof.

Yeah, the third time was the charm it seems. They came out at godawful-early-o'clock yesterday and got started and should finish up today.

So let last night be a lesson and DON'T do silly things like staying up late and getting PO'ed at LJ, email, TV, fuzzy critters, people critters, un-describable critters, long unfunny comments like this, odd balls that leave those long unfunny comments. dumb roofers, dumb over lords, creepy people peeking in your windows (I promise not to slobber), and pudding.

Your roof is being repaired? Yay! How much structural damage and mold was underneath?

Yes, it's probably done by now, they were working on the last bits when I left for work. I have no idea what sort of damage there was, all I know is they had to replace the plywood that was bowing underneath the shingles.
