We ended up not being able to make the planned 8:40 showing of "Serenity" last night, so we hit the 10:30 show instead. Shiny!

If you're going to see the movie, I think it really helps to have seen at least some of the series. If you've only got time for a few episdoes, try the pilot and "Out of Gas". It does stand alone reasonably well I think, but some things will really make more sense if you've seen "Firefly" first.

I understand I should try to see some episodes first to get more of it. Problem is they're way down on the Blockbuster queue (yeah, I know, we can rearrange the queue, but it still takes time for them to get here, blah, blah, excuses, excuses...) and I don't know how long the movie will stay around here in the decent first run theatres. Hell, we don't even get "Mirrormask" at all. :-(

Yay! I hadn't seen anything before that it was going to go anywhere else. I figured if we were ever to get it here it would be at Castleton Arts (that's the old name for AMC Castleton Square).
