I can't think of a better time to have joined audiography than during/just after a "covers" theme week. *glee* (Note the current music.) I've also decided that while I like Rufus Wainwright, his cover of "Hallelujah" just sounds too damn happy; I still maintain that Jeff Buckley did the definitive version.

Okay, off to Trader Joe's and possibly Wegmans if I can stand to get near there at this time of day, then maybe some yardwork in hopes of getting some sun on my pasty white legs.

It's The Dresden Dolls covering Radiohead. Not recognizing the group doesn't make you a fogey, don't worry. =) If you've heard anything at all by them, it's probably "Coin-Operated Boy".

This is why Toni and I need you along on road trips - when something comes on the XM radio listing a group name we don't recognize, we both scratch our heads and wonder Who the heck? :-)

...weird: I thought I got to audiography through you. *scratches head* aurgasm is fun, too. The last big week on audiography was soundtracks week, which generated a bunch of record-breaking days and from which I downloaded FAR too much music; let me know if you're curious about that.

God, it's good to be back in the land of TJs. Haven't made the Wegmans pilgrimage yet, but on your advice and that of reginagiraffe I got direx to the closest one, in Tyson's Corner, VA.

thanks for the information on this community! To say that I've been in a music rut is an understatement! I've been dl all of qe2's songs just to give myself some variety.

Yes, his version sounded much more upbeat than Jeff Buckley's, to me anyway. (Which I thought you'd listened to when I'd made it a song o'the week post a while back, as I think you commented that you liked Rufus' version better.)

Is the Tyson's Trader Joe's really the closest? *blink* It just seems odd there wouldn't be one someplace closer to you.

The great thing about Wegmans is that you can get really good fruits/veggies/seafood (I suppose meat too, but I haven't made it to their butcher counter yet) and also get generally low prices on other staple-like stuff. They've also got a relatively huge amount of vegetarian/vegan products, compared to the average chain grocery around here.

Actually, TJ's has just opened an outpost in Silver Spring - not Metroable, but still a whale of a lot closer than Tyson's Corner (or Gaithersburg, which was the one I actually wound up visiting last time). Haven't made it to Wegman's yet, but the car is now finally in the shop, so I have hopes...
