This made me think of mactavish: a flock of birds shows up on a Google map. (From Google Sightseeing, a wonderful place to get sucked into and spend time you could otherwise be using to do things offline.)

Completely unrelated to that: the new Ryan Adams CD "Cold Roses" is my current musical obsession. It's not terribly cheerful, mind you, but it's good. I was going to make one of the tracks a Song o'the Week post, but instead I'll point out that you can listen to the whole album streamed from his website. (I swear that despite how it must seem, I don't actually go out looking specifically for music designed to mope by; it just seems to follow me home, so I keep it.)
