Why my typing speed at home is much slower than in the office:





He is for some reason compelled to flop down on my desk and drape himself over my arm every single time I sit down at the keyboard, and it's hard to type with a 15 pound cat on your forearm.

my oldest cat likes to lounge on top of my laptop when it's open because of the heat. (I've learned to keep it closed.) Our youngest cat runs from anywhere he is in the house as soon as I print anything up to watch the paper come out of the printer.

Cats are so silly sometimes :) (even if they are too cool to admit it!)

Yep - Kisia insists upon left-arm support when she's having lap time. This is great as it frees up the mouse, but the second you want to type something....

I watched a cat do this to gremlin44 tonight, except he was all the way on her arm, and she was using a laptop. The only part of that arm she could move was her hand :)

Oniko has this habit of hopping up onto the back of the chair when I am on the computer at home. She then starts to try to get down into lap space and play. Its like, hey Mommy's doing something! NOW I'll be loving and affectionate.

Brings back memories ... Alpha would do the same thing from my lap - at least switching off (occasionally) which arm he draped his 15 lbs of kitty goodness over.

It happened that when I was looking at this, I got a phone call from our mutual sweetie, who was just finishing a meeting at UCB (which is a little over a mile from my house). He asked me what I was doing, and I said I was looking at photos of his girlfriend's cat. He takes a moment or two to think and asks "[geekchick]?", to which I replied "Gateway". This amused ms.
