First one of my own, although I had a clone at a previous job to run backups on. Not much interest in them until OS X, and then wasn't willing to pay $1000 just to play with the OS instead of getting a really nice PC for half the price. =)

Much like me. I had no love of it until both OS X and WinXP. OS X does everything I want, runs all the same applications (well except UltraEdit32, but an use BBEdit instead), works with the hardware I want (Canon camera, etc), based on a BSD core so virus/malware issues are small and is not made by M$. I've already spent a lot of time playing around with it and I've decided that I want to not only switch to it completely rid myself of M$ software.

I hope you enjoy it! I am tempted to get a mini Mac myself!

I'm pretty sure we have that Dilbert strip in one of the books we have... if I run across it I'll let you know. I have copies of a couple fave strips, but not that one.
