I'm not sure if I should be ecstatic or terrified (I vote for both): the new Fairfax Wegmans it turns out is being built on the other end of Monument Drive, less than five miles from my house.

Speaking of Wegmans, I suppose it's time to figure out what we're having for dinner tomorrow. I am so unmotivated.

You're also getting a new Whole Foods nearby, at West Ox and Fairlakes...

Not surprised, given the rate at which townhouses are being built around here. That would give us Giant, Safeway, Whole Foods and Wegmans all within a ten-mile radius; makes it easy to hit most of them in a single trip, I suppose.

Also, I rarely bother going to Whole Foods unless I have something specific in mind. =)

I used to frequent the one on Leesburg Pike in McLean when I lived there, but that was as much for their cookies as anything... or bulk items.

Yeah, we have passed the building site of the new Wegmans. Kinda bummed that it's not closer to us, but we're just spoiled having two supermarkets within walking distance. :)
