My computers hate me.

I have had the worst luck today.  First there was my laptop refusing to boot, now my desktop refuses to acknowledge the CD drive that it was perfectly happy with half an hour ago.  I quit, I give up, I'm going to swap out laundry into the dryer and then go to bed.

At least nminusone has been a saint about it and kept me from an utter meltdown, and I had a brief but welcome phone call earlier in the evening.
