In college, in art class, I was taught a number of things that was necessary in order for something to be art. One of these factors was supposed to be "time", implying that something has to have survived to be art.
Attachment to/love for a material thing... even to beauty... masks the greater spiritual truths. It becomes a distraction. Even a lovely distraction...
