First snowfall of the year! *squee* Maybe I'll get my camera out later, but I doubt I'll be able to manage any worthwhile photos.

I can squee about it mostly because I managed to drive home in the window between when it stopped sleeting around my office and the time it started snowing here, so my commute home was mostly dry. Oh yeah, and because they're calling for possibly almost twice as much snow at my office as they are here, there's a half decent chance of a snow day. Not that I don't need to go in anyway, since I'll be out for the next six work days...

Dry roads home, *then* it dumps snow! Perfect! Maybe even an extended vacation... (grin). I wish I could go play in snow.

It's still raining here. It's changed to snow to the north, but we're still waiting for the temperature to drop a little bit more.

Heh. Well my comment was made mostly in the context of having an older digital camera that didn't really let me do any adjustments other than zoom, and I've found it doesn't do well in low light (which, y'know, is what you tend to have around midnight, at least at this latitude ;)). If I had a better camera, I'd certainly have tried it.

Snow has stopped, now it's back to drizzle. Of course they're saying it will switch back sometime tonight; with my luck, right about the time I try to go home.

How is it going? Judging by the pictures that, um, others are posting, it looks like the suburbs in MD are getting 3-6" so far, so I'd expect 6-9" near your work (and hence a snow day ;).

Oh no, not nearly that much. There was about an inch and a half to two inches on top of my car this morning. My boss said they got around 3.5-4 inches out near her house (which is near the office), but the major roads are all clear. Of course, I'm the only one in the office at the moment, which makes me wonder if we were opening at 11 and I just didn't get that message. =) (We generally follow the government's lead on closing and D. didn't say the office was closed today.)
