Jun. 9th, 2003 07:40 pmToday is Setting Orange, day 14 in the season of Confusion, 3269.
1. What's the funniest fight you've ever been in? (either a funny topic, or funny circumstance, or funny in retrospect, or whatever)
The most absurd is probably the ongoing argument in my household over whether "808 State" CDs get filed at the beginning of the collection because it's "8", or in the "E" section for "Eight". (It goes first, I don't care if Tower files it under "E"; they file Cocteau Twins under "Goth/Industrial" too. :-P) We have gotten into seriously heated arguments about where bands whose names start with digits should be filed.
2. If you coudl change one thing about yourself, what would it be, and why?
Yikes. There are so many things I'd love to change by just waving a magic wand. If I had to pick something non-physical., I'd say I'd like to be more self-confident. If it's limited to physical characteristics, I'd get my teeth fixed.
3. What's your ideal date? Money is, of course, no object.
Hm. An opportunity to wear nice clothes, pre-dinner drinks in a swank bar followed by a really good, hours-long dinner someplace quiet enough that my date and I can actually converse without yelling (but not so quiet that the entire restaurant can hear us).
4. Which is better: growth or contentment?
I think I lean towards growth, if contentment is being otherwise equated with stagnation.
5. Name a few movies that you wouldn't mind erasing from your memory.
Hm. There are very few movies that I've ever considered an utter waste of time. "Razor Blade Smile" had gorgeous costumes from Black Rose, Skin Two, Vollers, etc. but that was the *only* redeeming characteristic it had. It beyond sucked. At the end of "Enigma", my comment to C. was "there's an couple hours of my life I'll never get back", although it wasn't bad enough that I utterly regret watching it. . Oh yeah, "Anaconda"; one of the "60-second life stories" on the TV Guide channel about Ice Cube made refererence to that movie with "Yeah, so you're a little bit stupider after having watched it"...and they were, in fact, right. I *heart* Ice Cube, but that's one stupid movie. Oh lord, and how could I forget Episode II? *twitch*
I will try to get around to coming up with questions for other folks sometime real soon, but if I don't get them asked tonight it's not because I'm ignoring you, I promise.

Date: 2003-06-09 05:20 pm (UTC)Re: Episode II - funny you should mention it; D. and I watched it last night for something mindless and light. Lucas should have stuck with set design and concept - the acting is staggeringly bad and I find more and more plot contrivances every time I see it!
