Heh. No, the HAI discussion didn't bother me, like I said "no thanks, not interested". =) The "dating someone because you're grateful for being shown some attention" topic did bother me, both because I don't think it's a good way to conduct one's relationships and because of the implications about our own relationship. It was actually other stuff that was rubbing me the wrong way, it wasn't our conversation.
I would just like to say that in my philosophy class we are discussing the existential nature of staplers, and I find it fascinating, and every time I see your (current) icon, it makes me smile. :)
