Hmm. I tend to think more in terms of good albums to take along, where good = eminently singable. Some examples:
Across the Universe and Are You Shakespearienced? by Trip Shakespeare Girlfriend by Matthew Sweet Just about any of my Steeleye Span albums Any of my Whitlams albums (go buy their albums! :-)

<i>Across the Universe</i> and <i>Are You Shakespearienced?</i> by Trip Shakespeare <i>Girlfriend</i> by Matthew Sweet Just about any of my Steeleye Span albums Any of my Whitlams albums (go buy their albums! :-) <The Lion and the Cobra</i> by Sinead O'Connor <i>1200 Curfews</i> by the Indigo Girls <i>Kent the Zen Master</i> by Hypnotic Clambake <i>Woodface</i> and <i>Together Alone</i> by Crowded House Any of Duran Duran's first three albums <i>Attainable Love</i> by Christine Lavin
Fun individual songs:
"Only Wanna Be With You" by Dusty Springfield "The Bad Touch" by the Bloodhound Gang "Dead Girls" by Voltaire "She's a Lady" by Tom Jones "Steppin' Out" by Tony Bennett "Buddy Holly" by Weezer "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot "Born to Be Wild" by Steppenwolf "Bad Case of Loving You" and "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer "Obsession" by Animotion "Respect" by Aretha Franklin "Mambo #5" by Lou Bega Any Weird Al polka medley "Prison Bitch"!!! :-)
I have been listening to that on infinite repeat for the last couple of days (once I got over the Too Much Joy album on the other side of the tape *grin*). It's making me all nostalgic for one of my college boyfriends, whose roommate gave me a copy of that cd, and I'm trying to remember why it is that we broke up, anyway. =)
Ah, that would do it. 'S what I get for staying up too late. :)
I haven't heard that song, and I would love to hear it. The only Voltaire I know so far is what I got off MP3.com when you mentioned his Trek parodies. "Dead Girls" is a bloody brilliant song; the music makes me want to twirl around the room in a swirly dress with a rose between my teeth. :)

Also fun to sing loudly in the car. ;)
