Oct. 20th, 2008 09:48 pm- Autobiography of a Fat Bride, Laurie Notaro. A collection of humorous essays. Time to read more of her books, I think.
- Out, Natsuo Kirino
- Rebecca, Daphne Du Maurier. Remind me again, am I supposed to like any of these people?
- Iron Council, China Mieville.
- Don't Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, Steve Krug. Frequently recommended and user friendly; I've been meaning to read this for years. Well worth the read, but not particularly groundbreaking if you're already versed in usability issues.
- Wikipatterns, Stewart Mader. Every bit as exciting as you might imagine, but then I'm kind of burned out on wiki implementation.
- Baltimore: Or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire, Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden.
- Bunnicula, James Howe. Continuing on with the vampire theme, but in a much more adorable manner because after the last several dreary titles I seriously needed a cute chaser. Who doesn't love vampire bunnies?
- Bunnicula Meets Edgar Allan Crow, James Howe. And who doesn't love vampire bunnies and groan-worthy titles?
- Toys Go Out, Emily Jenkins. Mentioned in a children's book recommendations thread, and it sounded so charming that I wanted to read it myself. It is, in fact, adorable.
