Had to be done, given my fondness for said retail therapy.
Currently parked in the hall in the Santa Clara Convention Center, waiting for the start of a session on replication and clustering. Woo.
I really kind of dislike doing conferences by myself; I am not at all good at mingling and making small talk, so I end up spending most of the time not in sessions wandering by myself. Today I at least brought a book that I can read over lunch.
[Edit: I decided to introduce myself to the presenter, who'd been on my f-list for a couple of years now. There's my "push the comfort levels" step for theweek day. Go me.]
