Mar. 22nd, 2006 03:38 pmIt would be much, much easier to write a compelling justification for why I should get to attend OSCON if they'd hurry up and post a schedule. "You should send me because, uh, it'd be really kewl. There's lots of stuff there." Not going to cut it with the folks with the budget, sadly. Hopefully this year there won't be a repeat of last year's confusion and I'll actually get to go.
php|tek is somewhat easier to justify, what with schedules and prices and things, although as of Monday there were only 30 or so spaces still available.
Anyone have any reviews of SANSFIRE they'd be willing to share?

The President of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Cecilia Fire Thunder, on South Dakota's abortion law:
kathrynt has spoken to Ms. Fire Thunder and has information on where donations can be mailed if you'd like to do so.
The President of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, Cecilia Fire Thunder, on South Dakota's abortion law:
βTo me, it is now a question of sovereignty,β she said to me last week. βI will personally establish a Planned Parenthood clinic on my own land which is within the boundaries of the Pine Ridge Reservation where the State of South Dakota has absolutely no jurisdiction.β

Cat + Roomba = Good times
The cat disagrees with my answer, naturally.
Roomba Discovery minireview: It's much, much faster to vacuum the room yourself, but this is vastly more entertaining. It seems to do a decent job at picking up dirt, too. If you happen to be in the market for one, Amazon's got refurbs on sale for $170 down from the $280 list, plus there's a code for $25 off through the 31st and free super saver shipping.
[Edit:] Actually, it seems to work really well; I just pulled a disturbingly large amount of cat fur out of the bin.
