Today is Setting Orange, day 48 in the season of The Aftermath, 3271.

For those of you who want to read the original story before seeing the movie, The New Yorker has republished "Brokeback Mountain" on their site.

Now, if I could only stop immediately parsing that as "Bareback Mountain" every time I see it. D'oh.

Date-saving

For local folks (or non-local folks who will be in the area): nminusone and I are having a holiday-ish party on January 7. We have no details yet other than "it'll be that day" and I'm sure nummy food will be involved, but we'll post when we know what we're doing. ;)

There's also talk of an informal party/open house on New Year's Eve, but again with the "details fuzzy, ask again later". Just tossing it out because scheduling for the next four or eight weeks is officially insane.
