We're full, go away.
Sep. 15th, 2005 11:59 amToday is Pungenday, day 39 in the season of Bureaucracy, 3271.
Apparently Ocean City is all full up this weekend. The only two hotels I could find any space at were a Comfort Suites a mile or so from the beach at $279 a night (and that's the AAA rate) or the Fenwick Inn. I was curious as to why this was the only place close to the ocean that had rooms available, but this cleared it pretty much right up. Call me a snob, but for $170+tax a night, I expect a clean room. So instead, we're going to Rehoboth; of course that's all full up too, so we're staying out near the outlets rather than near the beach. So much for the grand plan of going after Labor Day to avoid the insane crowds and the higher prices. Oh well, either way it's still a trip to the beach. I wonder where my bathing suit is?
[Edit: Well, I found out why Ocean City is full: Delmarva Bike Week. D'oh!]
