Heh.

Commentary on reports in the WSJ that Apple may turn to Intel chips:
"This is just a maneuver by Apple to whack IBM. Do you know how you can tell that Apple isn't serious? Has Apple sued the Wall Street Journal for releasing trade secrets?"

I spent all day yesterday in Edward Tufte's Presenting Data and Information seminar; if you're involved in creating presentations, it's worth your time. (If you're a diehard Powerpoint fan and think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread though, you're likely to feel picked upon, probably especially so if you happen to work at NASA.) And proving that I can run into people I know almost anywhere: in a room full of several hundred people, I ended up sitting next to someone I used to work with at [large defense contractor] and hadn't seen in eight years or so.

Curse you, Radio Paradise. *sniffle* (This is one of the tracks on the "CD guaranteed to make me get at least a tiny bit weepy before it's over", although not one that turns on the waterworks without fail.) Yeah, I could of course turn it off, but where's the fun in that?

I'm trying to figure out how on earth someone in the comments on RP could claim that Catie Curtis' version of this song is more melancholy than the original. Not seeing that at all.
