Registered to vote in Nevada? Are you sure? If you registered as a Democrat, you'd better call up and confirm it. And if you recently registered in Oregon, you might want to check up on that too, since the company in question has reportedly moved on to do registration in Oregon.

To co-opt a fabulous word from someone else: what incredible fuckmuppetry.

[livejournal.com profile] rivka, I assume you've seen this latest instance of Maryland Comptroller Schaefer spouting off with something unbelievable, in which he claims that AIDS patients "brought it on themselves"?

Nifty-looking books I must remember to hunt down, since I don't already have a stack of books nearly as tall as I am waiting to be read *ahem*:

Oh yeah, and the new Laurell K. Hamilton for some cotton candy for the brain.

Oooh, a meme that promises to lead me to interesting things if people on my friends list continue to fall victim to it as well. Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] mactavish, among others.

Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does:

Hm. I'd guess it's probably "The Best of Tim Curry". (If you do own it, I'm sorry.)

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does:

Limiting it to just the ones in English, I'll pick "The Law of the Sea in a Nutshell" by Sohn and Gustafson.

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does:

"Shaun of the Dead"?

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has:

Rolling Fork, Mississippi

I am never eating falafel again. And I think I might want to gouge out my eyes right about now too.

( A sexual harrassment lawsuit has been filed against Bill O'Reilly by an associate producer on "The O'Reilly Factor". See http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1013043mackris1.html for more choice quotes, if you aren't already feeling rather queasy.)

"[T]he defensive practice of medicine" ...against those Killer Prescription Drugs from Canada?

I, uh, think the transmitter is off tonight.

"I don't think it's credible to quote leading news organizations." Okay, that's it, the transmitter's definitely off tonight.

"...I pray for wisdom..." (Well those are obviously going unanswered.)

(If I never hear "freedom on the march" ever again in my life, it will be too soon.)

I thought the president did a kickass job after September 11. But now, he pretty much just sucks. McCain, however, is teh r0xx0r.

I'm disappointed in how partisan and divided Washington is. Even though it's pretty much all my fault. I am the Great Uniter, yes indeedy. Shut up about John McCain already, would you?

(Was that a pat on the back there?)
