So, I posted a few days ago about a meme xanyboi had started in which you basically describe yourself with a mix CD. I'd been working on this one on and off (mostly off) for a couple of days, and I think I've come up with a reasonable first pass. It's far from perfect, but it'll do for now I think. I don't have most of this stuff available for download, but if you want to hear it I can put some or all of it on CD.

A lot of the things I put on here seem to contradict each other when you listen to the lyrics; I'd say that's just about what one should expect from me. =) If you're curious as to why something got picked, you can ask in comments and I'll try to explain if I can.

I've been neglecting my own emotional well-being while trying to tend to that of other people; it's time for that to stop. I need to find my comfort levels and boundaries, state them clearly and then stick to them. If that makes me somehow a selfish bitch, then so be it. I can't take care of anyone else if I haven't taken care of myself first, and I've been running off reserves for so long now that they're utterly depleted. I'm tired. No, I'm exhausted, and I don't like this feeling. So while I'm not withdrawing completely from offering support to friends and loved ones and will gladly do what I'm able, I'm going to be much more active about stating when something's turned into a net drain for me and putting a stop to my involvement in it.
