For the first time in about seven years I find myself almost wanting to buy tickets to the HFStival. The lineup so far )
Once my brain manages to wrap itself around the concept of The Cure and Jay-Z on the same stage, I might have to decide whether I want to get tickets.

Today is Sweetmorn, day 38 in the season of Discord, 3270.

Thanks to everyone for the "fourth twenty-ninth birthday" wishes. ;) I've had a pretty good couple of days worth of celebrating, and even got carded when buying a beer at dinner last night.  I don't know what, if anything, I'm doing tonight, but I think I'm going to treat myself to a salon haircut and manicure this weekend. I can already tell that my admittedly fairly subtle hinting about wanting an iPod has fallen on deaf ears at home, so maybe I'll just skip adding a  facial to the package and use that to pay for a quarter of an iPod. </covetousness> I don't know why I've always enjoyed celebrating birthdays so much. Generally I just don't bother with the party thing, since it's a lot of work for me that I don't always feel quite up to; this year is no exception. No big party, just a dinner or two with local friends.

Firefox is rockin' my geeky little world.  I haven't run into any rendering quirks with any of my pages yet, I'm typing this up using the Deepest Sender extension, and I've already made copious use today of the "Live HTTP headers" extension to debug some problems with something I was working on, and not least, I've got kitties in my toolbar. I'm sorry Netscape 7.x;  we've had a good thing going for a while here, but I think I'm leaving you for Firefox.
