Feb. 4th, 2004 07:08 pmToday is Setting Orange, day 35 in the season of Chaos, 3270.
Good things for today:
* My ISP had a backup of my mail spool from 6 PM yesterday evening which they could easily dig out, so now I'm only missing anything that I'd not filtered or deleted between 6 and 11 yesterday.
* The Apple music store has Cordelia's Dad, woohoo! (And
geminigirl, they've got a bunch of Carbon Leaf too.) Now if only they had a wish list feature like Amazon where I could stash stuff I want to buy later -- or do they, and I'm just missing it completely?
* I'm getting about $700 in tax refunds, of which $40 went to Intuit for the online tax preparation and the rest will help immensely with the cash requirements for moving. Too bad it has to pay for security deposits, as otherwise it could make the start of a nice vacation fund to go with the two frequent flyer tickets I could get.
Bad(-ish) things:
* I found "Cthulhu Strikes Back" in the music store, and Cordelia's Dad, some new Sigur Rós and Five for Fighting, and it was all downhill from there (to the tune of $47).
* I can't finish my expense report until the hotel gets around to sending me an itemized copy of my room charges, which I couldn't get when I checked out. I hate doing expense reports, and would like to get it out of the way as soon as possible.
