Jan. 25th, 2004 04:35 pmToday is Setting Orange, day 25 in the season of Chaos, 3270.
Live from San Jose, it's...sunny and 54 degrees!
Call me a freak if you must, but I'm pissed that I'm missing what's forecast to be a big snowstorm at home tonight and tomorrow. I feel like I'm getting cheated out of a snow day.
I am holding fast to the idea that we have a quota of things that can and will go wrong for this meeting and that after we hit it everything will go smoothly, and we've already come very close to meeting it. If I think otherwise, I might just go insane (so please don't disillusion me).
brian1789 is an angel for finding someplace that we could rent bolt cutters on a Sunday. (Please don't ask.) On the up side, the flight was barely half full, if that, and my coworker and I managed to get seats with no one in the middle. There was a single infant on the plane, who naturally sat directly across from us. After a bit of loud fussing before takeoff though, she was either sitting up looking around and being curious or was asleep for the rest of the flight. I'm also really enjoying the chance to sequester myself in my room and crawl into bed with my crochet project and a glass of wine.
Note to self: someone always organizes a field trip to Fry's, try to tag along and see if they have a battery for my laptop which will actually hold a charge for more than two minutes. =/
