Aug. 13th, 2003 09:03 pmToday is Setting Orange, day 6 in the season of Bureaucracy, 3269.
Reasons to clean out the desk drawers more often:
* I just found £18 (and $15 Canadian) in the bottom of this drawer
* I found my Black Rose party card from (eek!) 1994.
* I had a Safeway card? Huh. Must've been from when I'd shop at the Social Safeway on Wisconsin. Wonder if it's still any good.
* Who the heck is Alfred H. Bellman, Jr., from HDS (not Hitachi Data Systems), and why do I have his card? Oddly, googling him turns up nothing. Perhaps he's a figment of my imagination.
* Speaking of cards, I found stashes of some of my old business cards. I think I still have roughly 720 of the 750 (from three jobs) I started out with. I was amazed that SAIC let me print "Supergenius" as my job title, who knew anyone there had a sense of humor? ;) (No offense to the two people I know there who actually do have senses of humor.) And oh yeah, I guess I did have a stint as "Technical Director" for a bit...that kind of thing happens when the company consists of two people. ;)
* and here's the copy of the poety collection written by a former sweetie...
* and an external drive for the Sparc 2 that's currently propping up the cat tree...
* and my webcam.
