May. 1st, 2003 11:58 pmToday is Sweetmorn, day 48 in the season of Discord, 3269.
I'd actually had a lovely, non-stressful week right up until today. This stress at least was entirely caused by the wonderful man who was inspecting my car and forced me to desperately look for a receipt from 15 months ago to prove my windshield had been repaired, even though he said that he he could see that it had been. (If I hadn't found it, I'd have to keep driving around with the big "rejected" sticker he slapped on my windshield). Joy. Luckily I didn't shred the receipt a couple of months ago with a lot of other old paperwork. He claimed if my rear brake pads hadn't needed replacing he'd have let the receipt thing slide, but since I was being failed anyway, he'd add the windshield thing to the list of things required to pass. *grumble*
Removed all communities and syndicated feeds from my default view and scanned back to see how much I had to read to catch up...woof. "skip=560". I may do more skimming than actual reading, I think, otherwise I'm going to be reading LJ for hours on end. I've been a lot more productive this week when I haven't been compulsively reloading my friends page, imagine that. =) I think this week has been good for me in many respects; not only have I been spending less time on LJ, I've been spending less time online at night and less time reading mailing lists and I think I've gotten a better handle on letting the stupid stuff slide. More time for me to be coherent tomorrow I think, but for now I'm off to bed.
