Sep. 16th, 2002 08:55 pmToday is Prickle-Prickle, day 40 in the season of Bureaucracy, 3268.
Wild mood-swing girl, that's me. Whee!!!! I think I'm getting sick, probably allergies. I fell asleep on the sofa watching tv Saturday night around 12:30; woke up and went to bed around 1:45, and then proceeded to sleep until 1:15 the next day. D'oh. I guess I needed it, and it's probably a sign to up the vitamin C intake for a while. Got some housecleaning done on Sunday afternoon and then spent a very nice evening hanging out with
curiousangel. We got a good laugh at seeing me swimming around in my new chemise; to say it's a bit big on me would be an understatement. At least there are drawstrings and it's cotton, so perhaps I can shrink it in the wash and then hem it. Now if only my dress would show up here; how the @#$% long does it take to send a box from Georgia to DC? Not ten days, certainly, unless they're shipping it via donkey. Then there was much relationship-processing later in the evening, which I hadn't been expecting. Nothing like serious discussions involving two people who are both exceedingly moody; I do not recommend that course of action if one can at all avoid it.
Why do I have a special talent for cultivating LDRs? *sigh* <beavis>This sucks! Change it!</beavis> I suppose since "move to Boston" didn't work on me (and I have neither a house nor a family, unlike a large percentage of my LDRs), I have no reason to think "move to DC" would work on anyone else, eh? A girl can dream though.
Speaking of LDRs, the dinner plans TBD for tomorrow WND, so as of right now I don't expect I'll get to see D. I did get a good chuckle though at his theory that leaving [where he is] at 3 and heading for Rockville would cause him to miss traffic. *snicker* Um, no. Spoken like someone who's never tried to traverse either the Beltway or 270 in the afternoon. ;)
Again with the having something swirling around my brain other than "this is what I did with my weekend" and not being inspired enough to sit here long enough and type it out. Grr. Argh.
