Today is Setting Orange, day 54 in the season of Confusion, 3268.I owe several people email. I know it's on my list of things I need to get around to doing, but for some reason every time I sit down to start, I get...ooh, shiny! Like this. I'm posting about how I need to send people email rather than actually writing the damn mail. What's wrong with this picture? Maybe it's because this post takes up very few brain cycles while the email I'd like to write in almost all cases requires coherent thought, which I've not had much luck with this week. Tomorrow. I
will write email tomorrow, after I've caught up on my sleep.
For good measure, a to-do list:
Write the @#$% email already! (only partially crossed out since I hope to eventually send longer email to a couple of folks once the timing is better)
- Mail the CDs I promised C. a couple of weeks ago
Find C's address so that I can do the previous item - now I just need an envelope, and I might as well send the certified mail to Gold's to cancel my membership if I'm going to be at the post office anyway
Return all the movies before late fees kick in
Laundry. Or go shopping, one of the two. I'm leaning towards laundry, alas.
- Back up anything I'd like to keep, move Photoshop to the laptop, and get ready to finally ditch the highly unstable 98 installation in favor of Mandrake. I've been saying this for months though, so if it doesn't happen this weekend I'll live.
- Take pictures for ebay and get stuff posted so I might possibly get paid before rent is due again.
- Read. Read read read. Pick up something on the stack of books I've been meaning to read (
a novel H. gave me for my birthday, maybe wade through House of Leaves some more, or Guns, Germs and Steel, all of which are calling to me). I've fallen out of the habit of reading books lately, and I don't like it. Time to remedy that situation.
