Jun. 19th, 2002 03:43 pmToday is Setting Orange, day 24 in the season of Confusion, 3268.
Sometime when I don't have a shiny new hard drive just begging to be installed in my development server, I want to ramble about mawwiage. (Wuv...TWOO wuv...) Between watching Michael Apted's new documentary "Married in America" and a conversation with a friend, I'm feeling inclined to noodle about my thoughts on the matter. I recommend the show, by the way. It repeats Thursday night on A&E, this time showing all nine couples instead of the six they showed Monday night. Fascinating viewing, utterly unlike that "What sort of loser wants to marry someone they met 15 minutes ago as part of a game show?" tripe. Ptui.
I'm feeling oddly social these days. Tonight is girls' night out with the women in my office and a couple other people. We're going to dinner and then to see a chick flick, should be much fun. Next week I'm going to do the "meet and be social" thing with a local LJ friend. I want to get together with my friend K. sometime soon too, maybe take her out to dinner post-layoff. Busy girl. I think it's a good sign though that I'm no longer uninspired to do nothing at all but sit at home and putter around with the computer. Depression lifting with the advent of actual sunlight, perhaps?
Okay, back to my geekly pursuits. There must be a screwdriver around here somewhere...
