Today is Boomtime, day 22 in the season of Chaos, 3168.
(Thanks for reminding me, Brian! ;) )

Tonight's fun activity: typing "cover" into Limewire and seeing all the bizarre stuff that shows up. So far I've found The Gourds covering "Gin and Juice" as a sadly incomplete bluegrass tune (that particular song seems to be quite popular, I have some other bands covering it too), Tori covering Bruuuuuuuuuce's "I'm on Fire", KMFDM doing "Like a Virgin" (which I actually have around here somewhere on the Madonna tribute CD), supposedly New Found Glory covering a Backstreet Boys tune, and there's a promise of Green Day doing "Rock You Like a Hurricane". Woo! I am such a sucker for music that is Just Not Right[tm].

So...what the hell ever happened to Chocodiles, anyway? Mmm, forbidden chocolate-coated chocolate Twinkie...

Chocodiles
A rebel Twinkie. The Chocodile rejects the hypocritical sociability of the other Twinkies in their happy little packs of three, wrapped in plastic and denial, and instead chooses to go it alone, sitting in its chocolatey leather jacket and brooding about the futility of existence. But they're hard to find and really not as tasty, so they get a B.

Hostess seems to be determined to ignore their existence, as there's absolutely no mention of Chocodiles or Chauncey on their site. They do, however, have a recipe for "Scottish Twinkie Fritters", a.k.a. battered, deep-fried Twinkies. *twitch* *twitch*
