Oct. 21st, 2001 01:12 pmToday is Prickle-Prickle, day 2 in the season of The Aftermath, 3167.
So much for velvet weather, it's going to be 80 here today (I did at least get the chance to dig out one of my velvet dresses for the weekend for B.'s birthday shindig). I forsee a long period where Cathy spends a lot of time being sick due to wild temperature fluctuations. =/ I think today's plan will involve going to one of the bagel shops with tables outside and reading up on the week and a half of PHP homework I have to get done (image generation, woohoo). Then home to go through washingtonjobs.com to see what showed up today, followed a trip to the gym later tonight and an attempt to not fuck up my knees again like I did with the bikes last time. Being woken up at 7 am after 3 hours of sleep because of excruciating pain is bad, I definitely don't recommend it. I should remember to recharge my mp3 player so I can listen to actual good music while I work out.
Reflecting a lot (probably too much) on the "it's nice to know that you're remembered, even if you can't actually participate in activity X" thing. Torn between wanting to go out and be really social and wanting to drive out to the Shenandoah sometime this week to day hike a bit of the Appalachian Trail and curl up in a motel room and enjoy being absolutely alone.
Couple of anniversary-type-things coming up this week, 2 and 3 years respectively. Not bad for someone who used to consider 6 months to be a long, successful relationship. Decided to get back on cl*st*rf*ck after a few weeks off, not entirely sure why. Withdrawal, I suppose. =)
I have a glow-in-the-dark bat tshirt (which seems to be good for starting up conversations with cute women) and adorable socks with Winnie the Pooh dressed up as a wizard, so life can't be too bad, right?
