Dice, Brassring, updates on Monster and Washingtonjobs, three or four applications to go in, job fair tomorrow and Wednesday afternoon (although it's all TRW, Lockheed Martin, SAIC, etc. - not corporate cultures I'm dying to go back to).

Speaking of Brassring, I thought I wrote crappy applications. Go through five pages of profile setting-up, only to get when submitting the final screen "Parameter is incorrect". That's it. No indication *which* parameter is incorrect. And naturally it does go ahead and create your profile, but it doesn't tell you that.

I'm not sure if the "viewed X times by employers" is a good thing or not. On one hand I can see that people are looking at my resume. On the other hand, I can see that people are looking at my resume and nothing else.

Job hunting sucks.

The Science Behind the Song Stuck in Your Head

Speaking of which...

I've found myself in the last few days wishing I was back in college. My senior year, I took a class on Just War Theory. I think it would be endlessly fascinating to be debating what's going on now with the rest of the people who were in that class with me; there were a lot of good, well-thought-out arguments. I think it was one of my favorite classes in my college career. I also kind of wish I could find my thesis paper for that class, it was an analysis of chemical and biological warfare and whether there were ever any circumstances under which they could be used and still be in line with just war theory (unsurprisingly, I think I couldn't come up with an example in which that could happen). I think I may go digging around for it later, although I have a feeling it was long-since lost. I do still have my copy of Walzer and am itching to read it again, once I finish "A Distant Mirror".

I have such a crush on Peter Bergen and Christiane Amanpour (mmm, smart people with nifty accents).

aaaugh!

I just got home and realized that I missed Buffy. @#$%. Anybody want to email me the scoop on what happened?

[Update: watch for a bunch of spoilers in the reply]
