The mourning doves are back. I can hear one...ah, there it is, perched outside on the roof across the way. It's such a sad sound, but I love to listen to it. Peaceful. (Although judging by the twitching of his tail, my cat just caught sight of it and it's not making him feel particularly peaceful. =) ) And now the light has turned golden and soon the clouds will turn red and pink and gold, and the mountains off in the distance will be a dark, inviting blue. I'm going to miss this view when we move.
