Dec. 4th, 2000 02:34 pmIn a much better humor this week, I think I've regained much of my sense of perspective. Still not incredibly happy, but I'm no longer whining about it. I consider this a Good Thing[tm]. In fact, I'm plotting a romantic getaway weekend for probably February. I hope it works out, it would be nice to not have to hop a plane for once. Of course this will end up costing more than a plane ticket, but it will be nice. Surprisingly reasonable for Middleburg, I thought.
The weekend was fun, we had K. over Saturday night so she could help work on my car and help C. rip some pieces out of his car. Yummy seafood dinner on Saturday night followed by cheezy movies and lounging around on the couch.
I can finally walk without pain today, which is a big win. Andy completely kicked my ass with Friday's workout, and climbing stairs was a challenge. Descending stairs was an even bigger challenge, owie owie owie. That's exactly what I was in the mood for that day (a tough workout), and I'm glad he brought it up first. =) Hard to concentrate on moping when you can't move your legs. ;) I also talked to S. about her experience with Pilates, which my gym is offering. She had lots of good things to say about it (although it was also mentioned that the matwork section of the class is killer), so I may look into it. It probably won't work well with the training sessions, but I'll see what Andy says about it.
