Today is Setting Orange, day 32 in the season of Discord, 3168.

What I did with my summer vacation^W^Wweekend, part the first.
(Actually part the only I'm sure, as nothing I did really warrants an epic treatment here.)

Discovered that HWDIKP is a smartass. I'm shocked, SHOCKED I tell you! I can respect that, it almost cancels out the fact that he's an emacs user.

Then got called two-faced, grouped in with everyone else who does so, because I happen to use friends list filters from time to time. That was a joyous evening, let me tell you. Yes, I use them sometimes when I feel it's appropriate (as well as private entries, which also show up on the calendar although no one else can read them), and no, I'm not going to apologize for it. Again I think there are sometimes issues caused by the naming of this feature a "friends" list; I've ranted about it, other people have ranted about it, I doubt we need to rehash it. Anyhoo, moving on...

Sunday was wonderful. Found a gorgeous ankle-length-on-me black and purple skirt which has gores (I think that's the word I mean) at the bottom, leading to lots of swirly fun. And it was on sale, which makes it even better. After successfully running some errands (and being surprised to find Violet Crumbles in a store across the street), I ran by Sutton Place to pick up a Chocolate Sin cake and head north for "West Wing" episodes and dinner. Now I've seen the first part of the essential episode (I'm pretty sure I'd seen the second part upon reflection, as I definitely remember the meeting about the "boats" and CJ falling into the pool) and, er, picked up on some things I totally missed the first time around. Heh. Dinner was yummy and the company was wonderful; I wonder if I can shellac the cat or something to contain the allergens and return the favor sometime.

Let's see how much I can get accomplished this week, shall we?

Mmm, Violet Crumble. But you also needTim Tams. No, really, you need them. Trust me on this.

My favorite are the Hobnobs.

Which World Market did you check at? I thought I'd seen Tim Tams at the one on Rte. 7, in Falls Church.

It's on 7, near where 7 and Columbia Pike cross (really Bailey's Crossroads, not Falls Church) in the shopping center with the Giant, and the Zany Brainy, and near the Toys R Toxic. I don't think it's as big as the one you were just at, but it's a lot closer to me than any of the others.

I was driving somewhere the other day and saw a store of British things...can't remember where I was though. Kicking myself now.

Bwahahahaha! You amuse me. :-)

What I would not have given to have been present for that viewing. Heeeee.

Um, wow, don't know what happened there. That was from me, of course.

Yeah, the naming is unfortunate.

Distribution list might be better. I make all of my entries friends only, but that's just 'cuz I'm paranoid.
