Today is Boomtime, day 19 in the season of Discord, 3168.

*yawn* I obviously used up all my energy for the week yesterday. Today I'm making the afternoon pot of coffee about an hour and a half early (as it was 2:15 when I started this). And it seems that I went a wee bit overboard on the coffee and I've about killed my cow-orkers with it. We just got a wall over the office intercom about how "Cathy makes deadly coffee!". Er, "oops." Well, we can always make another pot if need be. I am pleased that I provided a friend some entertainment with a puzzle to solve; I figured that if anyone was inclined to do the digging it would be him. I still feel this vaguely introspective post coming on, but again I'm a bit too distracted to sit down and write it all out. Maybe later tonight after I go home and have a hot bath and a glass of wine to counteract the caffeinated sludge I just drank. At least I'm not as wired as I was yesterday; most of the office commented on how hyper I was yesterday. Another cup of this coffee though and all bets are off!

when i was in alaska, they had a brand of coffee called "raven's brew". a specific blend known as "dead man's reach" had a higher caffeine content than regular coffee. two cups of that and i was ready to run the boston marathon, let me tell you!

That sounds like my kind of coffee! (For the record, I used about 6 scoops of coffee when I apparently should've been using 2 or 3; oddly enough, even after a cup and a half of that sludge at 4:30, I was ready to nap by 7. Seems my tolerance is going up again.)
