Ugh. An ABC News producer brought their baby to work last month, and now the kid has anthrax. *shudder*

Of course something like this:

Ninety offices of Planned Parenthood and at least 80 clinics of the National Abortion Federation across the United States have received envelopes containing unidentified powdery substances and letters with threatening language, according to spokesmen for the groups. Both groups support abortion rights and provide abortions in at least some of their offices.

makes me think more of the domestic variety of wing-nut than of foreign terrorists. I can all too easily see some of our own home-grown crackpots of various flavors taking advantage of the anthrax scare. Unibomber wannabes and all that.

Yes.. I just heard about the Planned Parenthood stuff too. Thats just sick. But it seems to me that a good many domestic terrorists will probably take advantage of the current tension and hope that the 9/11 terrorists or their cells are blamed instead.

This isn't the first time someone has sent weird stuff to P.P. Something similar happened early in 2000, according to a search I did at Dogpile. I'd include a link except the links I followed got error messages.

Jeezus.. it just seems to be getting worse before it gets better :(
