I didn't cry until last night, when they broadcast the Congressional prayer service and one lone voice sang "Amazing Grace". I'm not particularly Christian or even religious at all these days, but still... It was one of my father's favorite hymns, and one that was sung at his funeral. How many other funerals and memorial services is it going to be sung at in the coming weeks?

Pam and I were thinking about going to this,
or at least what I think was the same thing,
the candle light vigil outside the Capitol,
but we were just to drained to think of
trying to Metro in. I shed a tear this morning
while listening to NPR.
