This week, it is so very fired.

So let's see: Tuesday night, minor car accident on the way home from dinner. I claim it was the other guy's fault, he claims it was mine, cop cites neither of us since it was so minor and we have "such wildly differing stories". :-P Yesterday: started off the day feeling sick and the rest of it so freakin' exhausted I was crying since all my lack of sleep caught up with me. Last night: Gateway threw a clot and lost most of the use of one of his back legs. He's parked in the bedroom and seems to be doing reasonably okay right this second, but the vet warned us that even the 30% of cats who eventually recover from the initial event will have another episode in the near-ish future. At least she tells us that any of the vets at Pender will be happy to make a house call if it gets to that point. Which is good, since I really don't want the last thing I do for him to be traumatizing him by forcing him to go to the Worst Place In the Entire World. =(

Wow, what an incredibly shitty week. :( I'm still keeping you and Gateway in my thoughts. If you need to cancel or rearrange our plans next week, I completely understand. Spending time with/taking care of your kitty takes priority and I may be back in January anyway. (((you)))
