I was grousing a little bit about the idea that my sister in Memphis was going to get more snow than we were. (Six inches in Bartlett (!!) yesterday, when I checked the local news website.)

Then I looked at today's version of Weather Underground:

Tonight
Snow. Additional snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches. Brisk with lows in the mid 20s. North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent.

Monday
Snow likely. Additional snow accumulation around an inch possible. Total snow accumulation 7 to 10 inches. Brisk with highs around 30. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.

I needed to go buy milk today anyway, snow or no snow. Guess I'll add cocoa, soup, rock salt, and birdseed to the shopping list. (Obviously, those are intended for different uses.)

but, but SNOW! exciting! does Cats get to go outside in the snow, or does he shun it?

Cats just volunteered to help me refill the bird feeder. He charged out onto the deck, and came to a screeching halt right at the demarcation of "deck with no snow" and "deck covered in white, cold, wet stuff". ;)
