At least the fire I had to put out this morning wasn't literally a fire...unlike our mail delivery person, whose smoldering Jeep is out by the mailboxes. Too much excitement for one day. (C., if you could meet me at the door around 4:30 with some valerian and a Relora, I'd be most appreciative. ;))

Speaking of lost mail, did you ever get "69 Love Songs"? The seller on eBay claims he mailed it 10 days ago... I'm disputing.

sounds like you are having *quite* a day there, seester. Wishing you waves of calmness, frequent moments of clarity, and lots of relaxation at the end of the day.

A guy I used to work with had a similar observation to put things in perspective. The news had a story about how a Nat'l Guard chopper went down during training, killing something like 8 people. He came in the next day and said "Well, it's nice to know that no matter how badly *I* do my job, noone will die."

Well said.

Another bon mot: "It's not rocket surgery" (mixed metaphor intended)!

Hope the Siouxsie show made up for the rotten morning!
