(no subject)

Yeah, looks like wishful thinking wasn't enough. I am sick as a dog. =( Went to work for a half day today in the afternoon thinking I could get past the Nyquil haze from last night's dose once I got out in the sun and had some caffeine; let's just say that worked so well that I made extra-sure that I couldn't use sudo today. =/ As I started thinking that I should give up and go home, Stormageddon rolled through and all the power in the office went out, so I took that as approval of my decision. I did however wait until the rain let up, since driving while stupid is bad enough without adding "through torrential storms, complete with hail, and six miles of non-functioning traffic lights". Had planned to go see Justin Trawick at IOTA after work, but obviously that didn't happen.

I've got a set of software tools that I need to finish writing and have in place on Friday, but if I feel as bad in the morning as I did when I got home tonight, I'm going to take a sick day anyway. (Note to reader: I almost never take sick days; I have to either feel like death marginally warmed over or be contageous.) Starting in about 90 seconds, I think the rest of the evening will involve crashing on the couch, swigging Nyquil, and watching a DVD or Hulu until I pass out.
