A day off, sort of
Feb. 20th, 2006 01:48 pmOfficially I have today off, although I promised someone I'd check in today via email to do some handholding if necessary for work-related stuff and I have a script I need to have working by tomorrow morning. I was sick of being in the office Friday by about 6:15 or so and decided to bail and work on it from home today. While it's still sunny and I have something approaching motivation, I'll try to do some stuff around the house, like cleaning up the front yard a bit, cleaning out my car, doing the three or so loads of laundry that are waiting for me, making a grocery list, and popping a chicken in the crockpot. I also want to head to either Lake Forest or Herndon to hit up a comic shop to see if I can find the next couple of issues of The Book of Lost Souls by J. Michael Straczynski and Colleen Doran. Nothing says "day off" like lounging around in your jammies eating Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs and reading comic books, right? I suppose I should go drag
nminusone out of bed so I can sort laundry and vacuum in the bedroom and so he can get ready if he wants to go out and run errands with me.
There are a couple of things I keep coming back to in my head, but I'm not sure how or even if I should post about them here. We'll see. I'm trying not to post as frequently as I have been in the last few weeks, so that gives me a convenient excuse to keep holding off on making a decision about it. Right, then. Off to be semi-productive.
