Coming to the Freer and Sackler Galleries

Trunk Sale of Cambodian Silk Textiles! (http://www.freersacklershop.com/bediandre.html)
November 1, 12pm-5pm
November 2 and 3, 10am-5pm
Freer Conference Room

Join us for a trunk sale featuring authentic Cambodian silk fabrics made by craftspeople of the Institute for Khmer Traditional Textiles (IKTT).

IKTT is a non-profit organization dedicated to the revival and diffusion of Khmer traditional textiles. In doing so, it also creates a means for artists to support themselves while preserving village traditions.

These exquisite silks are available in the United States only at the Sackler Gallery and the Trunk Sale.

In addition, be sure not to miss the accompanying lecture entitled, "Reviving Silk Textile Traditions in Cambodia" (http://www.asia.si.edu/events/lectures.asp) on November 1 at 12pm in the Meyer Auditorium.
