None. There’s nothing wrong with that light bulb. There is no need to change anything. We made the right decision and nothing has happened to change our minds. People who criticize this light bulb now, just because it doesn’t work anymore, supported us when we first screwed it in, and when these flip-floppers insist on saying that it is burned out, they are merely giving aid and encouragement to the Forces of Darkness.

The Washington Opera's staging Tosca this spring; this was the first opera I ever saw (one of the Met's telecasts some large number of years ago), and I have a particular fondness for it.

Oooh, and Samson et Dalila, in which I can hear Alan Held sing again. (Opera groupies, who knew? ;))

And even better, they're back at the Opera House instead of in the horrible Constitution Hall.

I need new (to me) music

So, who wants to participate in a CD swap? Let's start small and say the first five people to comment expressing interest, in addition to myself. Simple theme: fill up a CD with some of your favorite music. Make five copies, pop them in a padded mailer and send them to me; I'll take care of sending them back out to the other participants. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
