I went journal-hopping through friends and their friends lists, and ran across a meme idea that looks like it could be fun courtesy of xanyboi. I think I'm going to try this, but not quite tonight. (The fact that I'm thinking "yeah, this could be interesting" while listening to Massive Attack's "Dissolved Girl" makes me think that my playlist might be slightly skewed towards the mopy if I tried it right now.)

make yourself as a mix CD.

For all intents and purposes, the mix is you.

Include songs that sum up a point in your life, a facet of yourself, or are otherwise important to you. "I like it" is not good enough here. This CD is you. People should be able to hear it and say "aha! now I understand $person better!"

post the track listing in your journal. if possible, post links to the songs for download (or at least links to lyrics). better yet, burn a few copies, label them "Hi! My Name Is _______" and distribute them.
