(no subject)

Today is Boomtime, day 32 in the season of Chaos, 3270.

978 messages in the WomBAT folder, probably at least that many in the Elbows folder (I was too scared to look and deleted it sight unseen), and skipping 1000 appears to only take me back to the morning of Jan. 26. First I should cull out actual mail I need to read from my inbox, then I can worry about the rest later. Some laundry, some unpacking of suitcases, some packing of boxes, and some trying not to kill myself on the 1/4-inch of ice that's still coating my entire driveway and most of our street.

Crafty day

I'm hosting a crafty day at my place next Sunday, Feb. 8 from about 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM (I may have a dinner engagement that evening around 7 or so); I'm intending it to be a low-key afternoon where folks can hang out and work on craft projects or read or whatever strikes their fancy. If you're interested in coming by, let me know so I can plan for appropriate space, especially if you're likely to need clean, flat surfaces. =) Some light munchies will be provided, but feel free to bring anything you'd particularly like to have. I have a sewing machine that can be used if someone doesn't feel like bringing their own (but no thread handy at the moment, so that part you should plan on bringing). If you need directions to my place, ping me via email at my livejournal address or leave a comment. We have a cat and a guinea pig in residence, so medicate appropriately if needed. I warn you that there may be some boxes stewn around and possibly slightly higher than normal levels of disarray because we'll be moving next month, but I promise I will not try to rope anyone into helping us pack. ;)
