Nov. 25th, 2003 02:14 pmToday is Prickle-Prickle, day 37 in the season of The Aftermath, 3269.
So, I'm not going to get done most of the big projects I thought I would this week (like scrubbing down the entire house). Oh well. =) Instead, yesterday I read a little over half of "Kushiel's Dart" and finished it up, got through another planet on "Ratchet and Clank", read the newspaper, sorted laundry to be done, did another row or two of crochet on the scarf I'm making and gave some vague thought to what C. and I might want to have for Thanksgiving dinner. That's pretty much it. It was woooooonderful. It has been so long since I had the time to just sprawl on the sofa and read all afternoon. Weekends are always so busy trying to do the stuff that you can't accomplish during the week because you're stuck in the office all day long, they barely count as relaxation anymore.
Today's low-effort plans:
* Go to Kohl's to take advantage of their "buy one sweater, get one free" sale that runs through today.
* Go to McKay's and try to spend some of the store credit we got; maybe pick up a math review book and some fluff (if they still have the copy of "Modern Physics" from 1965, that might need to be mine too)
* Go to Michael's and pick up a couple of skeins of yarn; conveniently the stuff I'm working with right now is on sale (seeing a trend here?)
* Make an appointment for Gateway with his kitty cardiologist
* Do laundry
* Make a grocery list at least, if not go to the store
* Pick which classes I'm going to register for and do so once I get paid on Friday.
* If I feel really productive, put this bin of stuff that's been sitting here forever up on eBay.
If I get more than that done, great. If not, that's great too.
